Making a Difference In Your Health
When making a difference in your health, it doesn’t mean you have to tackle all of the hard things all at the same time. It means that you take one aspect, make some changes, enjoy the difference, and the do the same in another area of life. At Absolute Wellness Center, we join so many people on their health journey, and we see the difference that they are making through daily steps in a more positive direction. October 26th is Make a Difference Day, so we wanted to make some easy suggestions to help you decide which area you want to make a difference in for your health.
For some, cutting out caffeine could be the difference that you need. That’s not to say that coffee and tea are bad for you - they have some incredible health benefits! However, as a whole, coffee is abused and caffeine consumption is wreaking havoc on many people’s health. If you need alternatives, you can try decaf coffee, herbal teas, and there are even some herbal coffee alternatives that can help boost your health without the caffeine crash.
Instead of taking away, maybe you can add in! Add more fruits and vegetables into your diet instead of worrying about cutting things out. It can be harder to find fresh veggies as we move into winter, but there are still great options out there that can boost your health! Different Exercise
For some, different could mean adding it all together! Whether you exercise regularly or you rarely take the opportunity to stretch your lungs and exercise your heart - this could be a good season to change it up! Your body can easily get into a rhythm and routine, so changing things can offer new benefits that you haven’t seen in a while. If you prefer to get your heart racing and include cardio in your routine, maybe this season is a good time to slow down and try something more rejuvenating and controlled. If you only exercise by walking or practicing yoga, you may enjoy speeding things up and trying something more fast-paced. This doesn’t have to be running, you could take up a dance class or kickboxing!Different Thought Life
Make a difference in your life by changing your thought life. There are so many studies out there that showcase the value of gratitude and positive thinking. This doesn’t mean that it comes easily, it’s something you have to practice and to cultivate.
